For more than 17 years, Dr. Cheryl van der Mark has been treating families just like yours in the GTA. Her family-focused approach to chiropractic care helps nurture comfort and trust with her patients. Dr. van der Mark is skilled in many different adjusting techniques including Diversified, Thompson and Activator. Her gentle patient-centred approach is paired with education to help her patients feel comfortable and relaxed.
In addition to her years of local clinical chiropractic expertise, Dr. van der Mark has international experience in directing teams of medical professionals including chiropractors, orthopaedic and plastic surgeons, general practitioners, medical specialists and dentists through her administration and development of a medical facility, outreach mobile medical clinics and surgical facility in Haiti. Dr. van der Mark continues to work with Service International Foundation to bring healthcare to impoverished families in Haiti. She is internationally recognized for her work in chiropractic and orthopaedics.
As a mother of 5, Dr. Cheryl has gained a true and inspired passion for treating pregnant women and children. This passion has resulted in her helping thousands of women experience more comfortable pregnancies and births. Dr. van der Mark is certified with the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association as a Fellow in Paediatrics and Pregnancy, is Webster technique certified and she is a leader in the GTA in paediatric chiropractic.
Dr. van der Mark, a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and is the recipient of the Heart and Hands Award that honours her passion, vitality and dedication to her patients and the field of chiropractic.

Dr. Janice Oldham graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2008 and has treated families across the GTA for more than eight years. Dr. Janice has worked as a full-time locum chiropractor where she filled in for chiropractors who were away from their practices for any length of time. During this time Dr. Janice gained vast experience in various practice styles and chiropractic treatment techniques that she now brings with her to Waterdown Village Chiropractic Group.
Dr. Janice continuously seeks to broaden her skills and knowledge through continuing education on a range of topics. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association (ICPA) and is certified in the Webster Technique and has extensive experience working with pre-and post-natal patients. Dr. Janice is currently enrolled in a certification program to achieve her fellowship in paediatrics, which will further enhance her expertise in paediatric care.
Being a local Waterdown resident, Dr. Janice is excited to join a chiropractic practice that adheres to the same quality and treatment philosophies that are important to her. She is passionate about helping all patients and their families improve their quality of life through chiropractic care.

Dr. Taylor Thompson, originally from Lockport, NY, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Nazareth College of Rochester and completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association, is certified in Webster Technique, and is currently working toward achieving her fellowship in paediatrics.
Dr. Taylor’s aspiration to become a chiropractor started from a young age, experiencing the benefits of chiropractic throughout her athletic career, while also seeing life changing results in her family members from treatment. Her care focuses on the person as a whole and considers all lifestyle factors of the individual patient.
When not in the office, Dr. Taylor enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Lloyd DeCoff, formerly of Parkside Family Chiropractic, started providing health care to family members of all ages here in Waterdown 17 years ago. His goal was, and continues to be, to provide the highest quality of chiropractic care, and to optimize health, healing, and performance, in a friendly, comfortable and caring environment.
Dr. Lloyd joined Waterdown Village Chiropractic & Wellness Group in July 2019 when the nearby Fortino’s needed his space to accommodate their expansion. Rather than starting another independent clinic at a new location, Dr. Lloyd decided to join a well-established team that fostered a collaborative and patient-centred approach to wellness.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Laurentian University, with a major in Biochemistry. He then received his Doctor of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College in Senica, NY. He has completed many hours of additional training in chiropractic technique, paediatrics and pregnancy.
Committed to giving back to the community, Dr. Lloyd fulfills his commitment through educational health talks and volunteering with various organizations in the surrounding communities.
Dr. Lloyd loves to spend time with his four children and can often be found enjoying the great outdoors fishing, running, golfing, cycling, and playing baseball.

Dr. Carly Wendler is a naturopathic doctor with a special interest and passion for family health and perinatal health (i.e. fertility, pregnancy, birth, and paediatrics). She completed her pre-medical studies at the University of Guelph earning an honours degree in Applied Human Nutrition. After an additional four years of postgraduate study, she graduated from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
Dr. Carly regularly promotes informed choice for all individuals, couples, and families. She is a strong advocate for woman and baby centred care. In addition to her families, Dr. Carly warmly accepts all new patients of any age with any health care concern.
Dr. Wendler who has a passion for educating the public, hosts regular community workshops on a variety of health related topics, writes blogs and articles for her website, and is the host of Ask a Naturopathic Doctor for OhBaby! Magazine. She also hosts live webinar workshops for those in the community and abroad.
Dr. Carly has taught courses at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and was both a guest lecturer and Teaching Assistant at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has published a Nutritional Pathology workbook which is used across Canada by those studying to become holistic nutritionists.

WVCWG is thrilled to have Karen Moreira, Physiotherapist, as part of the growing team.
Karen received her Bachelors of Science from the University of Toronto, followed by her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from McMaster University. Karen has had training in Soft Tissue Release Manual Therapy as well as Acupuncture for the treatment of orthopaedic and sport-related injuries. She specializes in pelvic health physiotherapy and has completed level 1, 2, & 3 pelvic courses which is a great fit for our practice. Her continuing education courses in pelvic health has given her the qualifications to assess and treat conditions such as prolapse, incontinence, pelvic pain, diastasis recti (abdominal separation) and pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain.
Karen’s holistic assessment and treatment approach focuses on patient education, mind-body wellness, exercise prescription and manual therapy. Karen is committed to empowering her clients and giving them the necessary tools to manage their symptoms and meet their goals, whatever they may be!
She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and is very excited to be involved in the community. In her spare time, Karen likes to work out, go on hikes and listen to Spanish music.

Mike Wadie, Registered Physiotherapist, completed his education at McMaster University, where he received both his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Since graduation, he has gone on to complete additional hands-on courses in soft-tissue release, acupuncture and k-taping; and plans to complete training in concussion and vestibular rehabilitation in the very near future.
Mike’s treatment approach relies heavily on hands-on techniques such as soft-tissue release, joint mobilization, and PNF stretching. He also regularly incorporates acupuncture when needed.
Away from the clinic, you can find Mike watching the NBA-champion Raptors, Leafs and Blue Jays. He also loves to stay active himself, whether that’s playing basketball, cycling, hiking or challenging himself with new workouts. He also has a strong passion for traveling and learning languages, which he can talk about for hours!
As such, Mike is conversational in French and Egyptian Arabic and happy to provide you with services in these languages.

Hey WVCG Community, we’d like to introduce Kristi Smith, Registered Massage Therapist to you! This might be the best introduction you will have all year long. Kristi graduated from Canadian Therapeutic College in 2008 and has been working in both Waterdown and Miton ever since. You may have recently noticed that she was named Diamond Winner in this year’s Flamborough Review Readers’ Choice Awards.
Over the course of her career, Kristi bring a diverse skill set and has worked within clinical, athletic, rehabilitation and relaxation settings. Her skills range from Deep Tissue massage, Swedish and Relaxation massage, sports massage and pre-natal massage.

With more than eight years working with athletes, and personally competing in weight lifting since 2013, Zach focuses on the importance of daily movement as a cornerstone to living a healthy life. His approach is individually tailored to each client's needs and overall health goals. With a passion for learning, Zach draws on different techniques ranging from relaxation to rehabilitation and movement exercises. Ask him about CARs for your joints!

Brent is a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Athletic Therapist and a Registered Kinesiologist with a passion for helping people live a pain free life. He is very honoured to be providing care for the greater Waterdown community in coordination with the other practitioners at WVCWG! In addition to his over 10 years of experience, he has also completed his Functional Movement Screening, Soft Tissue Release certification, and Fascial Distortion Model certification. Brent is experienced in providing thorough assessments and treatments of musculoskeletal injuries, sport related injuries, post-operative procedures and provides pregnancy care.
Whether it’s helping to find the root cause of a chronic issue, recovering from an acute injury, or just relaxing after a tough day, Brent blends techniques learned through each profession to help his clients achieve a greater sense of well-being. He individually tailors treatment programs using massage therapy, manual therapy techniques and rehabilitative exercises to allow for a safe and rapid return to work, sport, and life.
