Brent Martens

Brent is a Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Athletic Therapist with a passion for helping people live a pain free life.
He is very honoured to be providing care for the greater Waterdown community in coordination with the other practitioners at WVCWG! In addition to his over 11 years of experience, he has also completed his Functional Movement Screening, Soft Tissue Release certification, and Fascial Distortion Model certification.
Brent is experienced in providing thorough assessments and treatments of musculoskeletal injuries, sport related injuries, post-operative procedures and provides pregnancy care.
Whether it’s helping to find the root cause of a chronic issue, recovering from an acute injury, or just relaxing after a tough day, Brent blends techniques learned through each profession to help his clients achieve a greater sense of well-being. He individually tailors treatment programs using massage therapy, manual therapy techniques and rehabilitative exercises to allow for a safe and rapid return to work, sport, and life.
Deana Mercier

Living an active lifestyle, Deana Mercier is a strong believer in maintaining a healthy body and mind and has always been passionate about supporting others to achieve the same.
Deana graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy and has worked in the areas of Neurology, Orthopaedic and Paediatrics with her current focus in women’s pelvic health.
Deana feels honoured to be a part of a woman’s journey to healing, health and wellness. She has taken many additional pelvic health physiotherapy courses to improve her knowledge and skill level. She believes that listening and educating can lead to empowering her clients to a successful outcome.
Outside her work, Deana is an avid mountain and road cyclist. She also enjoys skiing with her family, hiking with friends, yoga, and competitive tennis.

Dr. Wendler N.D. completed her pre-medical honours degree at the University of Guelph in Applied Human Nutrition & pursued further study at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Dr. Wendler N.D. is licensed by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario to provide family focused naturopathic primary health & wellness care.

Dr. Carly N.D. compliments her practice with additional training and education as a Lactation Educator to best support you and your baby for an early positive start to your breastfeeding relationship. Chiropractor for over 22 years, Dr. Cheryl van der Mark has been treating families just like yours in the GTA. Her family-focused approach to chiropractic care helps nurture comfort and trust with her patients.
Dr. van der Mark is skilled in many different adjusting techniques including Diversified, Thompson and Activator. Her gentle patient-centred approach is paired with education to help her patients feel comfortable and relaxed.
As a mother of 5, Dr. Cheryl has gained a true and inspired passion for caring for pregnant women and children. This passion has resulted in her helping thousands of women experience more comfortable pregnancies and births.
Dr. van der Mark has been certified with the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association as a Fellow in Paediatrics and Pregnancy (FICPA) for 22 years, is Webster technique certified and she is a leader in the GTA in paediatric chiropractic.
Dr. van der Mark, a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and is the recipient of the Heart and Hands Award that honours her passion, vitality and dedication to her patients and the field of chiropractic.
Dr. van der Mark is honoured to serve the communities of Waterdown, Burlington, Flamborough and Hamilton at Waterdown Village Chiropractic & Wellness Group and is active in both the Waterdown and Burlington communities. Dr. Janice Oldham

Dr. Janice Oldham has been serving the community of Waterdown and the surrounding area as part of the team at WVCWG since moving to Waterdown in 2016, and has been in practice for since 2008.
Dr. Janice is skilled in many different adjusting techniques including Diversified, Thompson, and Activator, and she is committed to ongoing education which allows her to continuously build her expertise in a variety of topics.
As a family chiropractor, Dr. Janice focuses in the areas of perinatal and paediatric chiropractic. She is certified by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP, formerly FICPA). Dr. Janice has also been certified in the Webster Technique since 2008.
Dr. Janice LOVES helping families in our community feel healthier and happier through chiropractic.
When she is not at work, Dr. Janice enjoys spending time with her family, participating in local community events, volunteering in schools, cottaging, yoga, dance, skiing, golf and travel.
Dr. Jessica Tamminga (Kempton)

Dr. Jess Tamminga (Kempton) is Waterdown born and raised! She attended the Doctorate program at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and has extensive international training in paediatrics and perinatal health.
Dr. Jess’ desire to become a chiropractor stemmed from seeing a close family member healed through chiropractic care after a season of debilitating back pain. This sparked an interest in Chiropractic where she experienced the benefits herself soon after and realized the value of wellness care. Her goal with her patients is to provide quality result oriented chiropractic care and she loves helping her patients feel like the best version of themselves. She also has a passion for helping pregnant mommas and children.
When outside the office, Dr. Jess loves spending time with her family, cooking & baking, swimming & hiking, DIY projects, and being involved in her church. She is excited to help YOU reach your highest health potential!
Dr. Judith Ancheta Goguen

Dr. Judy is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor serving our lovely Waterdown, Ontario and surrounding communities. She grew up in Oakville, and completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at McMaster University in Hamilton, after which she attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, She has been joyfully practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor since 2011. She is an active registrant with the College of Naturopaths Ontario, and has a professional membership with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
It is Dr. Judy’s incredible pleasure to be of service to you as you embark on this journey of life-long health. She has no greater joy than seeing those she is working with, coming in with a beaming smile, in a better mood, reporting improved energy levels and physical health. She creates individualized treatment plans for you that extend beyond basic symptom management and she always looks at the entirety of your health.

Dr. Lloyd DeCoff, has been providing health care to family members of all ages here in Waterdown 22 years ago.
His goal was, and continues to be, to provide excellent chiropractic care, to optimize health, healing, and performance, in a friendly, comfortable and caring environment.
Dr. Lloyd obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Laurentian University, with a major in Biochemistry. He then received his Doctor of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College in Senica, NY.
Committed to giving back to the community, Dr. Lloyd fulfills his commitment through educational health talks and volunteering with various organizations in the surrounding communities.
Dr. Lloyd loves to spend time with his four children and can often be found enjoying the great outdoors fishing, running, golfing, cycling, and playing baseball.
Dr. Taylor Thompson

Dr. Taylor Thompson, originally from Lockport, NY, completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York.
She is a member of the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association and is certified by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP, formerly FICPA). Dr. Thompson is also certified in Webster Technique.
With a passion to help raise the standard of care for postpartum women, Dr. Thompson has become a GROWCO Ambassador. She guides postnatal women through an individualized pelvic floor and core rehabilitation program for proper healing to prevent short and long-term complications after having babies. This program provides moms with the proper tools to return to activities and exercise with confidence.
Dr. Taylor’s aspiration to become a chiropractor started from a young age, experiencing the benefits of chiropractic throughout her athletic career, while also seeing life-changing results in her family members from treatment. Her care focuses on the person as a whole and considers all lifestyle factors of the individual patient.
When not in the office, Dr. Taylor enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and spending time with her baby girl, husband, and extended family.
Jason Townsley

Meet Jason
Jason Townsley has been providing counselling and therapy services since 2007. He offers services to teens, adults, and families who are looking to address difficulties with identity, stress, and relationships. His skill set includes helping those who want to make improvements in their quality of life, specifically addressing mental health struggles such as anxiety, depression and addiction. He practices with an eclectic mix of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). While incorporating an Attachment- and Trauma-informed lens, he sprinkles in his sense of humour, compassion, and interest in each person’s story. Jason has co-developed therapy programming and offered DBT training in different counselling and hospital settings.
His experiences have included hospital psychiatry programs, inpatient addiction centres, detention and custody facilities, and community counselling centers. He is a Registered Social Worker, and member of both the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Jason’s heart is found in his role as a father and a husband, and he has developed a true passion for the difficult and rewarding practice of psychotherapy work. Laura started her career working with young children primarily in childcare, neighbourhood groups, child welfare, and also women experiencing addictions. Laura since worked in municipal services in the employment, housing, social services area, staff development & training, and community development related to local immigration partnerships.
Laura now follows her passion in prenatal, postpartum, child and family social work. Laura has a skill for helping families and individuals with all kinds of challenges and successes and happily supports parents at all stages of the parenthood journey.
Laura brings a wealth of knowledge to the amazing group of practitioners at WVCWG and is honoured to continue serving the mental health of her local community in partnership with this team.

Maryann Fabrizio

Maryann is a graduate of McMaster University’s Physiotherapy program and has extensive additional training from the Canadian Orthopedic Division of the CPA where she successfully completed her Intermediate Manual and Manipulative exams and Level V course.
Maryann has enjoyed over 20 years of practice and brings a wealth of knowledge to the WVCWG team!
Working in private practice since graduation, her treatment philosophy involves using hands-on manual therapy techniques and soft tissue release in combination with injury specific exercises and education to restore patient mobility.
Her goal is to enhance the quality of life of her patients by guiding them towards restoring and maintaining their physical health.
Maryann, a local Waterdown resident, is fluent in Croatian and enjoys volunteering in the community. She stays active by walking and regularly working out as well as keeping up with her three sons. Maryann looks forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals!
Mike Wadie

Mike Wadie, Registered Physiotherapist, completed his education at McMaster University, where he received both his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Since graduation, he has gone on to complete additional hands-on courses in soft-tissue release, acupuncture, k-taping and postural restoration (PRI).
Mike’s treatment approach relies heavily on hands-on techniques such as soft-tissue release, joint mobilization, and PNF stretching. He also regularly incorporates acupuncture, breathing and exercise when needed.
Away from the clinic, you can find Mike watching sports such as basketball and hockey. He also loves to stay active himself, whether that’s playing basketball, cycling, hiking or challenging himself with new workouts. He also has a strong passion for traveling and learning languages, which he can talk about for hours!
As such, Mike is conversational in French and Egyptian Arabic and happy to provide you with services in these languages.
Ms. Meghan Clarke

Meghan attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where she received her designation as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Prior to this she received a Bachelor of Psychology with a minor in Biology from Wilfrid Laurier University. Meghan also attended the Institute of Natural Health Technologies to receive her diploma as a Registered BioEnergetics Practitioner.
As competitive athlete from a young age, she developed a love of nutrition early on. A healthy diet aided in her intense training programs and nourished her body when recovering from injuries. Her love of holistic nutrition grew even stronger when she was able manage her own mental health better after recovering from sport related concussions through a whole foods diet and proper supplementation.
Meghan is passionate about educating individuals on the power of living holistically. Through healthy nutrition and lifestyle choices, she will customize a wellness plan to support a balanced journey to good health.
She has a special interest in supporting clients through their weight loss journey by addressing gut health, balancing blood sugar levels, hormones and supporting cognitive function through whole foods, healthy eating, and BIE.
Outside of work, Meghan likes to hike, rock climb, and dance. Meghan is honoured to be able to support the families of Waterdown through holistic nutrition. When the mind, body and soul are living in perfect harmony, all feels at ease.

Nicole is one of our amazing registered massage therapists here at the Waterdown Village Chiropractic & Wellness Group (WVCWG). Having graduated in 2007 from Sutherland Chan School and Teaching Clinic, Nicole feels very passionate about massage therapy and believes it can relax us, inspire us and help us feel more supported in life.
In addition to her special interest area in prenatal and post-natal treatment, child and infant massage, Nicole welcomes all members of the family to her massage therapy practice.
You will often find Nicole giving guidance in breathwork and body awareness as well as stretches, ideas and tips for self-care before you leave.
