Alex completed her Master of Physical Therapy at Western University following her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with distinction.

She brings a breadth of experience from diverse settings in private practice orthopaedics, vestibular and concussion rehab, neurological inpatient care, and community home care. Alex enjoys guiding patients of all ages to restore function, reduce pain, and regain daily confidence.

As a former varsity-level soccer player, competing in both NCAA Division I and USPORTS, Alex knows firsthand the value of an active lifestyle. Her approach blends exercise-based rehab, manual therapy, and patient education to empower everyone to reach their goals.

When she’s off-duty, you’ll find her on the soccer field, exploring the great outdoors with friends and family, or staying active through fitness. She is fluent in English and French and dedicated to walking with each patient through their rehab journey.

Brent is a Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Athletic Therapist with a passion for helping people live a pain free life.

He is very honoured to be providing care for the greater Waterdown community in coordination with the other practitioners at WVCWG! In addition to his over 11 years of experience, he has also completed his Functional Movement Screening, Soft Tissue Release certification, and Fascial Distortion Model certification.

Brent is experienced in providing thorough assessments and treatments of musculoskeletal injuries, sport related injuries, post-operative procedures and provides pregnancy care.

Whether it’s helping to find the root cause of a chronic issue, recovering from an acute injury, or just relaxing after a tough day, Brent blends techniques learned through each profession to help his clients achieve a greater sense of well-being. He individually tailors treatment programs using massage therapy, manual therapy techniques and rehabilitative exercises to allow for a safe and rapid return to work, sport, and life.

Living an active lifestyle, Deana Mercier is a strong believer in maintaining a healthy body and mind and has always been passionate about supporting others to achieve the same.

Deana graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy and has worked in the areas of Neurology, Orthopaedic and Paediatrics with her current focus in women’s pelvic health.

Deana feels honoured to be a part of a woman’s journey to healing, health and wellness. She has taken many additional pelvic health physiotherapy courses to improve her knowledge and skill level. She believes that listening and educating can lead to empowering her clients to a successful outcome.

Outside her work, Deana is an avid mountain and road cyclist. She also enjoys skiing with her family, hiking with friends, yoga, and competitive tennis.

After completing an honors degree in psychology at Dalhousie University and working in clinical research, Lauren found her true passion in hands-on healthcare. She graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2015 with academic and clinical honors, focusing on the care of pregnant and pediatric patients.

Following the birth of her daughter in 2017, Lauren expanded her expertise by becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and infant sleep specialist. In 2023, she integrated her skills in bodywork and lactation to create a holistic approach to infant feeding and family wellness.

Lauren is passionate about supporting mothers and helping families achieve their feeding goals. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and fur-babies, and loves Pilates, yoga, weight training, and relaxing with a good book.

Lauren is excited to be part of WVCWG’s wellness team providing lactation consultations and Infant Chiropractic Care to moms and their babies in Waterdown!

Dr. Lloyd DeCoff, has been providing health care to family members of all ages here in Waterdown 22 years ago.

His goal was, and continues to be, to provide excellent chiropractic care, to optimize health, healing, and performance, in a friendly, comfortable and caring environment.

Dr. Lloyd obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Laurentian University, with a major in Biochemistry. He then received his Doctor of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College in Senica, NY.

Committed to giving back to the community, Dr. Lloyd fulfills his commitment through educational health talks and volunteering with various organizations in the surrounding communities.

Dr. Lloyd loves to spend time with his four children and can often be found enjoying the great outdoors fishing, running, golfing, cycling, and playing baseball.

Dr. Michelle Caracciolo is a Naturopathic doctor with the WVCWG team. She has a special interest in pediatrics, hormonal health, and pregnancy care. Dr. Michelle has gained unique experience in pediatrics, particularly in treating neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and ADHD, as well as addressing digestive concerns and boosting immune function. She has a strong interest in supporting children and families with holistic, individualized care. Her approach incorporates a diverse range of natural therapies to promote wellness, including dietary modifications, acupuncture, cupping, homeopathy, and herbal medicine. In addition to her naturopathic practice, Dr. Michelle provides birth doula services to guide and support expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy and childbirth experience. Dr. Michelle’s holistic methods aim to address the root causes of health concerns rather than solely managing symptoms, ensuring long-lasting wellness for her patients. Dr. Michelle looks forward to guiding you and your family toward optimal health through personalized and comprehensive care at WVCWG!

Dr. Phil received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC), after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph. With a focus on individualized care, Dr. Wessel uses a variety of effective techniques tailored to each patient’s unique needs. His goal is to help patients achieve lasting results, whether they are seeking relief from chronic pain, recovering from injury, or enhancing overall function.

As a Locum Chiropractor with WVCWG, Dr. Phil is pleased to provide exceptional care while Dr. Thompson is on maternity leave. He takes a holistic, patient-centred approach that emphasizes trust, communication, and collaboration. Working closely with patients, he creates personalized care plans that support their health goals and promote long-term wellness.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Phil enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Thompson, and their daughter. He also enjoys golfing (though he admits he’s still “working on” his game) and experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes.

Dr. Taylor Thompson, originally from Lockport, NY, completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York.

She is a member of the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association and is certified by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP, formerly FICPA). Dr. Thompson is also certified in Webster Technique.

With a passion to help raise the standard of care for postpartum women, Dr. Thompson has become a GROWCO Ambassador. She guides postnatal women through an individualized pelvic floor and core rehabilitation program for proper healing to prevent short and long-term complications after having babies. This program provides moms with the proper tools to return to activities and exercise with confidence.

Dr. Taylor’s aspiration to become a chiropractor started from a young age, experiencing the benefits of chiropractic throughout her athletic career, while also seeing life-changing results in her family members from treatment. Her care focuses on the person as a whole and considers all lifestyle factors of the individual patient.

When not in the office, Dr. Taylor enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and spending time with her baby girl, husband, and extended family.

Jess brings a lifelong passion for human anatomy and sports rehabilitation to her role at Waterdown Village Chiropractic & Wellness Group. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University and completed her Massage Therapy diploma at the Ontario College of Health and Technology.

A former two-sport athlete in volleyball and cheerleading, Jess has a special interest in sports-related injuries and recovery. She is certified in deep tissue massage and soft tissue release, combining these techniques to help clients recover from injuries, ease pain, and promote relaxation. Jess understands that each body is unique. She takes the time to listen, assess, and customize her treatment to meet each client’s individual needs, supporting long-term wellness and optimal movement.

Jess is proud to serve the communities of Waterdown, Burlington, Flamborough, and Hamilton. She is passionate about helping her clients feel their best and looks forward to supporting you on your journey to better health

Meghan attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where she received her designation as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Prior to this she received a Bachelor of Psychology with a minor in Biology from Wilfrid Laurier University.

As competitive athlete from a young age, she developed a love of nutrition early on. A healthy diet aided in her intense training programs and nourished her body when recovering from injuries. Her love of holistic nutrition grew even stronger when she was able manage her own mental health better after recovering from sport related concussions through a whole foods diet and proper supplementation.

Meghan is passionate about educating individuals on the power of living holistically. Through healthy nutrition and lifestyle choices, she will customize a wellness plan to support a balanced journey to good health.

She has a special interest in supporting clients through their weight loss journey by addressing gut health, balancing blood sugar levels, hormones and supporting cognitive function through whole foods, and healthy eating.

Outside of work, Meghan likes to hike, rock climb, and dance. Meghan is honoured to be able to support the families of Waterdown through holistic nutrition. When the mind, body and soul are living in perfect harmony, all feels at ease.

Mike Wadie

Mike Wadie, Registered Physiotherapist, completed his education at McMaster University, where he received both his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Since graduation, he has gone on to complete additional hands-on courses in soft-tissue release, acupuncture, k-taping and postural restoration (PRI).

Mike’s treatment approach relies heavily on hands-on techniques such as soft-tissue release, joint mobilization, and PNF stretching. He also regularly incorporates acupuncture, breathing and exercise when needed.

Away from the clinic, you can find Mike watching sports such as basketball and hockey. He also loves to stay active himself, whether that’s playing basketball, cycling, hiking or challenging himself with new workouts. He also has a strong passion for traveling and learning languages, which he can talk about for hours!

As such, Mike is conversational in French and Egyptian Arabic and happy to provide you with services in these languages.

As a registered massage therapist, he is certified in deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, myofascial cupping, and medical acupuncture, Tyler combines deep tissue, relaxation, and therapeutic techniques to help with pain, injury recovery, and stress relief. His personalized treatment plans focus on addressing your unique needs for optimal results. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or just need to relax, Tyler may compliment your treatment with cupping, acupuncture, stretching, and/or strengthening exercises, if requested, to support your healing and overall well-being
