For over 21 years, Dr. Cheryl van der Mark has been treating families just like yours in the GTA. Her family-focused approach to chiropractic care helps nurture comfort and trust with her patients. Dr. van der Mark is skilled in many different adjusting techniques including Diversified, Thompson and Activator. Her gentle patient-centred approach is paired with education to help her patients feel comfortable and relaxed.

In addition to her years of local clinical chiropractic expertise, Dr. van der Mark has international experience in directing teams of medical professionals including chiropractors, orthopaedic and plastic surgeons, general practitioners, medical specialists and dentists through her administration and development of a medical facility, outreach mobile medical clinics and surgical facility in Haiti. Dr. van der Mark continues to work with Service International Foundation to bring healthcare to impoverished families in Haiti. She is internationally recognized for her work in chiropractic and orthopaedics.

As a mother of 5, Dr. Cheryl has gained a true and inspired passion for treating pregnant women and children.  This passion has resulted in her helping thousands of women experience more comfortable pregnancies and births. Dr. van der Mark is certified with the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association as a Fellow in Paediatrics and Pregnancy, is Webster technique certified and she is a leader in the GTA in paediatric chiropractic.

Dr. van der Mark, a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and is the recipient of the Heart and Hands Award that honours her passion, vitality and dedication to her patients and the field of chiropractic.

Dr. Janice Oldham has been serving the community of Waterdown and the surrounding area as part of the team at WVCWG since moving to Waterdown in 2016, and has been in practice for 15 years.

Dr. Janice was introduced to chiropractic as a university student experiencing back and neck pain. After experiencing the benefits of chiropractic for herself, it prompted her to change her career path and become a chiropractor herself! Dr. Janice graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2008. She is skilled in many different adjusting techniques including Diversified, Thompson, and Activator, and she is committed to ongoing education which allows her to continuously build her expertise in a variety of topics.

As a family chiropractor, Dr. Janice has always loved caring for all members of the family, from babies through to grandparents. After becoming a mother to two young sons, Dr. Janice decided to focus further in the areas of perinatal and paediatric chiropractic through an extensive fellowship program with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. After several years of additional course work, Dr. Janice became certified in 2021 by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP, formerly FICPA). Dr. Janice has also been certified in the Webster Technique since 2008.

Dr. Janice LOVES helping families in our community feel healthier and happier through chiropractic. When she is not at work, Dr. Janice enjoys spending time with her family, participating in local community events, volunteering in schools, cottaging, yoga, dance, and travel.

Dr. Taylor Thompson, originally from Lockport, NY, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Nazareth College of Rochester and completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association, is certified in Webster Technique, and is currently working toward achieving her fellowship in paediatrics.

Dr. Taylor’s aspiration to become a chiropractor started from a young age, experiencing the benefits of chiropractic throughout her athletic career, while also seeing life changing results in her family members from treatment. Her care focuses on the person as a whole and considers all lifestyle factors of the individual patient. Dr. Taylor is also running a Postnatal Pelvic Floor and Core Rehab Program called Growco for Mamas in Waterdown area.

When not in the office, Dr. Taylor enjoys hiking, playing soccer, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Lloyd DeCoff started providing health care to family members of all ages here in Waterdown 22 years ago. His goal was, and continues to be, to provide the highest quality of chiropractic care, and to optimize health, healing, and performance, in a friendly, comfortable and caring environment.

Dr. Lloyd joined Waterdown Village Chiropractic & Wellness Group in July 2019 when Dr. Lloyd decided to join a well-established team that fostered a collaborative and patient-centred approach to wellness.

He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Laurentian University, with a major in Biochemistry. He then received his Doctor of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College in Senica, NY. He has completed many hours of additional training in chiropractic technique, paediatrics and pregnancy.

Committed to giving back to the community, Dr. Lloyd fulfills his commitment through educational health talks and volunteering with various organizations in the surrounding communities.

Dr. Lloyd loves to spend time with his four children and can often be found enjoying the great outdoors fishing, running, golfing, cycling, and playing baseball.

Dr. Carly Wendler N.D. is an experienced Naturopathic Doctor & Lactation Educator with a family focused practice in Waterdown Ontario. She believes in a collaborative approach to health & wellness care and is deeply committed to helping you and your family live in abundant health.

Dr. Wendler completed her pre-medical honours degree at the University of Guelph in Applied Human Nutrition & pursued further study at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Dr. Wendler is licensed by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario to provide family focused naturopathic primary health& wellness care.

Dr. Wendler has a clinical focus in: fertility, pregnancy/birth, paediatrics and new family wellness, breastfeeding, women’s health and digestive issues. Dr. Carly Wendler compliments her practice with additional training and education as a Lactation Educator to best support you and your baby for an early positive start to your breastfeeding relationship. She uses her wealth of clinical and personal experiences gathered over 15 years to design and recommend naturally oriented, practical and safe treatment plans for families like yours.

Meghan attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where she received her designation as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Prior to this she received a Bachelor of Psychology with a minor in Biology from Wilfred Laurier University. Meghan also attended the Institute of Natural Health Technologies to receive her diploma as a Registered BioEnergetics Practitioner.

As competitive athlete from a young age, she developed a love of nutrition early on. A healthy diet aided in her intense training programs and nourished her body when recovering from  injuries. Her love of holistic nutrition grew even stronger when she was able manage her own mental health better after recovering from sport related concussions through a whole foods diet and proper supplementation.

Meghan is passionate about educating individuals on the power of living holistically. Through healthy nutrition and lifestyle choices, she will customize a wellness plan to support a balanced journey to good health.  She has a special interest in supporting clients through their weight loss journey by addressing gut health, balancing blood sugar levels, hormones and supporting cognitive function through whole foods and healthy eating.

Outside of work, Meghan likes to hike, rock climb, and dance.  Meghan is honoured to be able to support the families of Waterdown through holistic nutrition. Mike Wadie, Registered Physiotherapist, completed his education at McMaster University, where he received both his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Since graduation, he has gone on to complete additional hands-on courses in soft-tissue release, acupuncture, k-taping and postural restoration (PRI); he is also experienced in treating patients post-concussion.

Mike’s treatment approach relies heavily on hands-on techniques such as soft-tissue release, joint mobilization, and PNF stretching. He also regularly incorporates acupuncture breathing and exercise when needed.

Away from the clinic, you can find Mike watching sports such as basketball and hockey. He also loves to stay active himself, whether that’s playing basketball, cycling, hiking or challenging himself with new workouts. He also has a strong passion for traveling and learning languages, which he can talk about for hours!

As such, Mike is conversational in French and Egyptian Arabic and happy to provide you with services in these languages.

Maryann is a graduate of McMaster University’s Physiotherapy program and has extensive additional training from the Canadian Orthopedic Division of the CPA where she successfully completed her Intermediate Manual and Manipulative exams and Level V course. She has enjoyed over 20 years of practice and brings a wealth of knowledge to the WVCWG team!

Working in private practice since graduation, her treatment philosophy involves using hands-on manual therapy techniques and soft tissue release in combination with injury specific exercises and education to restore patient mobility.  Her goal is to enhance the quality of life of her patients by guiding them towards restoring and maintaining their physical health.

Maryann, a local Waterdown resident, is fluent in Croatian and enjoys volunteering in the community. She stays active by walking and regularly working out as well as keeping up with her three sons. Maryann looks forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals!

Nicole is one of our amazing registered massage therapists here at the Waterdown Village Chiropractic & Wellness Group (WVCWG). Having graduated in 2007 from Sutherland Chan School and Teaching Clinic, Nicole feels very passionate about massage therapy and believes it can relax us, inspire us and help us feel more supported in life.

In addition to her special interest area in prenatal and post-natal treatment, child and infant massage, Nicole welcomes all members of the family to her massage therapy practice. You will often find Nicole giving guidance in breathwork and body awareness as well as stretches, ideas and tips for self-care before you leave.

Nicole is so grateful to have the opportunity to support women and families within our community providing client centered care within the strong group of caring professionals at WVCWG.

Brent is a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Athletic Therapist and a Registered Kinesiologist with a passion for helping people live a pain free life. He is very honoured to be providing care for the greater Waterdown community in coordination with the other practitioners at WVCWG! In addition to his over 10 years of experience, he has also completed his Functional Movement Screening, Soft Tissue Release certification, and Fascial Distortion Model certification. Brent is experienced in providing thorough assessments and treatments of musculoskeletal injuries, sport related injuries, post-operative procedures and provides pregnancy care.

Whether it’s helping to find the root cause of a chronic issue, recovering from an acute injury, or just relaxing after a tough day, Brent blends techniques learned through each profession to help his clients achieve a greater sense of well-being. He individually tailors treatment programs using massage therapy, manual therapy techniques and rehabilitative exercises to allow for a safe and rapid return to work, sport, and life.

Amy is one of our amazing Registered Massage Therapists. She is a graduate of Fanshawe College, and has completed additional courses in Geriatric massage as well as Cupping Therapy.

Amy has always had a passion and love for the elderly community and has massage experience in long term care facilities which is where she solidified her love for massaging seniors. As a local resident of the Waterdown/Dundas area her whole life, Amy is honoured to be able to provide quality care to all individuals no matter the age within the community! 

Whether it be relaxation, specific treatment, or cupping therapy with the massage, Amy uses a vast variety of techniques suited for each case, symptom, injury, and individual. Amy is adept in fascial work, Swedish massage techniques, stretches/ exercises and she makes sure to tailor your treatment to benefit your specific needs, as she strives to improve your overall wellbeing. 

Outside of the clinic Amy is often spending time at her grandparents, with her family and friends, reading, organizing, and caring for all her beautiful houseplants and flowers.

Brandon Aiello is a graduate from the Certified Massage Therapist program at Mohawk College and is well versed in musculoskeletal anatomy, kinesiology, orthopaedics and physical assessments. Brandon is dedicated to improving the well-being of the people he cares for. His aim is to create safe and effective treatment that is client-centered, while providing a productive strategy for rehabilitation care and training alongside the other practitioners at WVCWG.

Brandon is experienced in treating a diverse audience with various conditions. He has experience with a range of massage therapy treatments in accordance with your individual treatment needs. Brandon is a great option if you love deep tissue massage however he has a wide range of depths of treatment available. When he is away from WVCWG working on your quality care, he spends time playing music, bodybuilding and hiking outdoors. 

Brandon seeks to offer quality care and expertise to all of his clients. He has high regard for being a member of the WVCWG team and looks forward to providing you with excellent care in your next appointment.

Laura started her career working with young children primarily in childcare, neighbourhood groups, child welfare, and also women experiencing addictions. Laura since worked in municipal services in the employment, housing, social services area, staff development & training, and community development related to local immigration partnerships. After realizing her municipal career did not drive her passions and impacted her ability to be the parent that she wanted to be, she left in order to follow her passion in prenatal, postpartum, child and family social work. Laura has a skill for helping families and individuals with all kinds of challenges and successes and happily supports parents at all stages of the parenthood journey. Laura brings a wealth of knowledge to the amazing group of practitioners at WVCWG and is honoured to continue serving the mental health of her local community in partnership with this team.

Jason Townsley has been providing counselling and therapy services since 2007.  He offers services to teens and young adults, adults, parents, families, and couples, who are looking to address difficulties with identity, stress, relationships, mental health struggles such as anxiety, depression and addiction, and those who want to make improvements in their quality of life.  He practices using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).  He incorporates an Attachment- and Trauma-informed lens, while sprinkling in his sense of humour, compassion, and interest in each person’s story.  He has co-developed therapy programming and offered DBT training in different settings.  His experiences have included inpatient addiction centres, detention and custody facilities, hospital psychiatry programs, and community counselling centers.  He is a Registered Social Worker, and member of both the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and the Ontario Association of Social Workers.  Jason’s heart is found in his role as a father and a husband, and he has developed a true passion for the difficult and rewarding practice of psychotherapy work.  He is excited to be a part of the team here at WVCWG!

Shelby has always preferred a natural and holistic approach to healthcare and is thrilled to support practitioners working together to find optimal health solutions for each and every family member. Shelby has over 16 years of customer service experience and has experience in health office administration holding her certification in Office Administration for Health and Medical Services. Shelby leads our team of Wellness Health Assistants and she administrates all aspects of our busy clinic. Should you have any questions regarding your care at our WVCWG, Shelby is happy to help!

Emma grew up in Waterdown and loves working in our family-oriented clinic! You will know Emma by her smile, whether you are here for your first visit or are a regular  client, she makes everyone feel welcome. Emma has years of experience as one of our Wellness Health Assistants and works hard to make your experience here as pleasant as possible. She is efficient in answering any questions you might have and is excellent in finding the right appointment times for you. Emma loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Gale has many years of customer service experience and she strives to create a positive, helpful experience for you each and every visit.

In addition to her role as a Wellness Assistant, Gale is a certified yoga instructor, who understands the importance of a healthy mind and body. She is also an avid golfer, and enjoys the outdoors and family time.

Gale loves sharing her passion for health and wellness with the Waterdown community and looks forward to making your experience with WVCWG a positive one!

As a graduate from Western University with a BA in Linguistics and Psychology, Sara cares deeply about communicating with patients and making them feel welcome and comfortable. She is currently pursuing a clinical master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and is passionate about multi-disciplinary wellness care.

Sara spends her personal time playing music and enjoying the outdoors. She loves learning about wellness care from our amazing practitioners and getting to know our wonderful clients!

Patty values helping others improve their quality of life and is committed to connecting you to our wellness services, and preventative health care plans. You will recognize Patty for her compassion and kindness when coming for your care at WVCWG. She holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario and practiced as a Physiotherapist for 15 years. Patty is passionate about adding CPTG essential oils into her wellness lifestyle and she is always happy to answer any of your questions!

Rachel loves being a part of our WVCWG team and has 15+ years of experience in the health care industry. Rachel is very passionate about living and breathing a healthy and positive lifestyle. From mud runs and interval training to hiking the Grand Canyon, Rachel enjoys many adventures that promote an overall sense of health wellness. Anyone who has met Rachel will agree she is a high energy, upbeat and positive person who is eager to make your experience with us hassle free!

As a current student at McMaster University studying kinesiology, Sam is able to connect what she is learning to her role at WVCWG. Sam is a competitive dancer and is passionate about staying active and living a healthy lifestyle. She brightens up the clinic with her energy and excitement, and as a lifelong Waterdown local, she loves connecting with her neighbours and  community. You will quickly notice how friendly and approachable Sam is!

As a former home daycare provider, Mandeep brings with her a passion for children and families as well as excellent customer service. Mandeep is extremely dedicated to making you feel welcome and assisting you on your healthcare journey. She is passionate about her work and making patients feel comfortable!

As a Waterdown local, Mandeep loves to participate in the many community events with her family. At home, she is an avid gardener, likes to grow her own vegetables for healthy eating, and loves to cook healthy meals for her growing family. Mandeep is thrilled to be helping Waterdown families reach their highest health potential at WVCWG!

Noora brings to our team of Wellness Health Assistants a wealth of customer service knowledge and a warm, kind demeanour. She completed a diploma in Health, Wellness, and Fitness at Mohawk College and has a passion for natural health optimization.

Outside of the clinic, Noora enjoys going on runs, supporting local businesses, and spending time with her family and cats! Noora is excited to be coordinating care at WVCWG for families in Waterdown. She can't wait to meet you!
